A secretary of the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs tried to explain the topic of covid-19 passports. But his little son had more important update to share with the audience
Working from home while taking care of the children is something that has become a norm for many during the times of the covid-19 pandemic. And sometimes, this setup leads to rather uncontrollable situations.
Martin Smolek, the secretary of the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, was supposed to explain the government policy towards the so-called covid passports within the Visegrád Group in a live interview for the Czech Television.
But his little son didn’t allow him to elaborate on the issue as he repeatedly expressed an urgent need to the audience.
“I need to poop,” the kid was yelling to the camera, making his father slightly uneasy.
”I’m really sorry,” Smolek reacted trying to calm his son down.

However, this little incident has caught positive attention from the public who find it innocent and sweet. In fact, so did the interviewer.
“You’re going to be famous like in the BBC,” Zuzana Tvaruzkova, who led the interview, pointed out a similar incident that happened during a live broadcast on British TV.
“The times of covid and lockdown bring us even these situations,” she said.
Tvaruzkova tried to give Smolek another chance to elaborate on the topic of their discussion. But after yet another failed attempt, she had to let it go.
She then explained on Twitter that she felt sorry for Mr. Smolek and had the urge to come to his home and help him out right away.
People on the social network expressed a similar need and empathy.
“Hopefully, the kid didn’t soil his pants. If my son starts with this phrase I drop everything and go. Otherwise, I would sow the seeds of a much more serious problem,” a Twitter user reacted to the video.
“This kid should host the official press conferences of our government. Finally, I’d be informed about something reasonable,” said another Twitter user.
